| 89 BAROLO VIGNA CERRETTA 1997 | ||
I enjoyed the upcoming Barolo releases. The 1996 and 1997 Barolo Vigna Cerretta differ only in that the 1997 has less tannin, more sweetness of fruit and glycerin, and the vintage's tell-take opulence. The 1996 exhibits notes of soy and tabacco in its medium to full-bodied, tannic, cedary, spicy, black cherry-dominated personality. The 1997 possesses more volume, ripeness, richness, and intensity. Both wines are best drunk during their first 10-12 years of life. | ||
